Subject: Prioritizing Housing Over Stadium Subsidies – A New Era for Cuyahoga County Dear Members of the Cuyahoga County Council, I am writing to express my strong opposition to any public investment in infrastructure for the Cleveland Browns stadium and to urge you to instead direct those funds toward ensuring housing security for our residents. Cuyahoga County is at a crossroads, and this is a defining moment. Do we continue the cycle of backroom deals that enrich billionaires, or do we stand up for the people who live, work, and struggle in this county every day? For far too long, county leadership has been dominated by a two-party system that operates on corruption and political favors, rather than true public service. That era is coming to an end. I am running as an independent leader because I owe no favors, cut no backroom deals, and answer only to the people of Cuyahoga County. This campaign is about breaking the cycle of mismanagement, prioritizing transparency, and ensuring that public money is spent on public needs. The Browns are a private, for-profit entity owned by billionaires. Their request for public subsidies to renovate their stadium or build a new one is an insult to the hardworking people of this county who face skyrocketing housing costs, property tax hikes, and limited access to affordable homes.

Under my administration •All existing public investments in stadium or corporate handouts will be reevaluated. •For future public funding for private sports franchises will be attenuated. •All public investments will be scrutinized to ensure that they serve the public.
Instead of handing taxpayer dollars to billionaires, we should be investing in:
Cuyahoga County residents have much more pressing concerns than ensuring the Browns have a new or upgraded stadium. I urge you to reject any proposals that would allocate public dollars to stadium funding and instead champion investments that will directly improve the lives of the people you were elected to serve.
